Jennifer Pons is a mother and high school English teacher in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Chicago, she is compelled to wander and travel, and lived in seven different states across the country before planting her more permanent garden in Oregon. Her poems have appeared in Across the Margin, Whale Road Review, CutBank Flash Prose and Poetry Online, among others, and is forthcoming in Rock & Sling. She was named a finalist in the Patricia Goedicke Prize in Poetry and was a finalist for the Pamet River Prize 2020. She holds a BA from the University of Montana in Literature and is pursuing her MFA through Seattle Pacific University.
